| Mission
The mission of the Geary
County Unified School District's library media program is to encourage
lifelong learning and to meet the information needs of students, faculty,
staff, and administration by providing them with the necessary skills to do
so. To provide the students with these necessary skills, we run an
integrated library program. In an integrated library program, the
Library Media Specialist and the classroom teacher plan and implement
lessons together that incorporate the standards for the classroom and the
library program. Students are able to come to the media center and
check out on an as needed basis. Some students come in everyday, while
others may come in two to three times a week.
